Jacob Canady, (born December 10, 1998), better known for his stage name ATL Jacob, is an American producer, rapper, and entrepreneur. Known for his wide range of beats, ATL Jacob is one of the fastest-rising producers of his time.

Born and raised on the southside of Atlanta, GA., to Jako Williams Sr. and Valencia Canady, he began producing music in the 9th grade, while attending Creekside High School. His early love for music and desire to be the best contributed to his success in the field. It was here, at Creekside High where Jacob began to take his music seriously. He was a member of his high school’s band, and at the age of 17, he had the opportunity to meet hip-hop sensation Future, who was impressed by his many talents. That meeting quickly earned Jacob a seat as the in-house producer for Future’s record label, Freebandz. Jacob’s fresh new sound can be heard on several songs he produced on Future’s 2019 album, The Wizard, as well as Future’s 2022
album, I Never Liked You. “No one at school believed me when I said that I was working with Future every day after school. But I didn’t feel the need to prove anything to them because I already knew where my life was headed”. (Jacob)

Inspired by the likes of Future, Drake, Kanye, Metro Boomin, and 808 Mafia, ATL Jacob experienced much success as part of Future’s production team, and he emerged as a “go-to” producer for some of the biggest names in hip hop. His ability to provide signature sounds is a key piece of the pie when it comes to the success of Lil Baby and Lil Durk’s chart-topping album, The Voice of Heroes.

In 2019, Jacob started his own record label, Wicked Money Family. His love for all genres of music encouraged him to construct a team that includes his own talented artist. “You can never have too much of what you need, and the world needs good music,” said Jacob when asked about his inspiration to start his own label. Wicked Money Family is prepared to take the music industry by storm with its “Cash Money” approach. Jacob’s fans are astonished by his success at such a young age, but to Jacob, his success feels “normal”, and he hopes to motivate the younger generation. He wants them to know that age, is not a limitation.

Jacob’s successful rap sheet continues to grow with a list of hot artists that he has produced for, including, Drake, Kodak Black, Desiigner, Trippie Redd, Roddy Rich, Jaqueese, Kali, and many more; he shows no sign of stopping or slowing down.

In May of 2022, Jacob took the No. 1 spot on Billboard’s Hot 100 producers, making him the top producer in the US. And in September of 2022, Jacob received his first Producer of The Year award from BMI.

The multi-platinum producer came from humble beginnings. From selling beats for only $90 to having placements on Kanye West’s Donda. ATL Jacob is now preparing to release an album of his own, under his own record label, where he will broadcast his rap skills (his first love) in a major way.
